Leveled: A Project Reflection

Challenge:
To create a data based poster of design related works that were completed while attending the University of Kansas. The statistics or data is paired with a graph in order to convey specific information about each project. The primary focus is for projects done in visual communication labs starting at sophomore level.

Solution:
A poster using pure graphic form that is based on simplistic, geometric shapes. The tilted, double bar style graph, derives from the influence of both architectural structure and sound bars used in music. The representation documents the levels of skills used on 26 projects primarily according to Bloom's Taxonomy and the AIGA/NASAD Competencies. Skills such as analysis, comprehension, responding to an audience, and understanding tools and technology are part of the graph. The data is also based on caffeine intake covering the time span of each project. The caffeine intake can then be translated into stress level, amount of sleep, and difficulty of the project.
